Every commission begins with a conversation and ends when we are both happy with it.

Commissioning a painting is one of the most personal things you can do for a space. It means choosing something made entirely for you, for the specific light, scale and feeling of a room you live or work in. It means owning something that could not exist without you.

Martina works with private collectors, interior designers and architects across the world on commissions of all sizes. Whether you have a clear vision or simply a wall and a feeling, the process is designed to be collaborative, transparent and entirely without pressure.

How it works

1. Tell me about your space –  The process begins with a conversation. You share the dimensions of the space, the colours around it, and the mood you are looking for. There are no wrong answers and no fixed ideas at this stage. It is simply a dialogue.

2. A vision begins to take shape –  Martina shares initial colour references and studies, giving you a real sense of the direction the work could take. At this point, you will also receive a Photoshop mockup showing how the painting would look in your actual space. Not a guess. A visualisation.

3. A proposal tailored to you –  Once the direction feels right, Martina shares a formal proposal: dimensions, format and price. She works with a curated range of canvas formats, and bespoke sizes are available on request.

4. We refine until it is right –  Nothing moves forward until you are confident and excited. This stage is a conversation, not a transaction.

5. The work begins –  Once agreed, the painting is typically completed within two to three weeks, depending on material availability. You will be kept informed throughout.

6. Delivered to your door – All commissions are shipped worldwide, fully insured and carefully packaged.

What to expect

Commissioning for the first time can feel daunting. It is an investment, and it requires a degree of trust. Martina’s approach is to keep the process open and exploratory for as long as it needs to be. There is no rush, no pressure and no commitment until you are ready.

The goal is simple: a painting you will never want to take off the wall.
